☆ grub2とのんびり

以前試したのは設定ファイルだけだったはずだ。

VirtualBoxにPlamo-4.7を入れた。
MBRにブートローダをインストールせずに再起動。まずは grub-rescue-cdrom.iso (これもgrub2だ)で起動させる。
起動時のプロンプトを叩いてみる。

grub> set root=(hd0,1)
grub> linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.30.7-plamo-SMP root=/dev/sda1 ro
grub> boot

debianなどinitrdのある場合は、bootの前に"initrd /dir/initrd"を入れねばなるまい。

で、removepkg grub してから、grub2をビルドする。
GNUのミラーサイトからは探し出せなかったので、alpha.gnu.org から grub-1.97.1のtarballをftpで貰って make install。
これまた 以前やった通りに/boot/grub/grub.confcfg を書く。

# grub-install /dev/sda
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.
 
(fd0)   /dev/fd0
(hd0)   /dev/sda

/dev/tty1 に "end_request: I/O error, dev fd0,spector 0" がいっぱい 出ていた。
再起動は問題なくできたが、気持ち悪いので、sed -i 1d /boot/grub/device.map しておいた。
